Bringing a three-year-old to Burnley game
I sit in the BML. I'm thinking of bringing my boy to the game. Not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Have you brought your kids to a game at this age and would you recommend it?

Or were you brought to Upton Park at that age?

It'll be ok as long as you are not near some of the WHO regulars. The little one will find them rather juvenile.

Take something to occupy him, he'll get bored and restless in no time.

I was about 3 or 4 years old... probably little bit different standing on a claret and blue stool in the North bank in the 70's than sitting in a pokey souless can't see for shit souless arena mind you...

Good point, Yorkammer, duly noted.

Buster, that's what I'm worried about. Add to that the walk to the ground and a train journey there, we'll probably have fallen out by the time we get to the game.

Maybe we could occupy his attention if we interested him in management in some capacity - how about transfer policy?

I took my 5 year old daughter to the Wolves FA cup game at Upton Park Jelavic scored, kept her occupied with plenty of sweets.

She got bored after 70 minutes, she kept signing bubbles all game was a proud dad moment.

What on earth has the kid done wrong to get this level of punishment?

Did he burn the house down?

I took both of mine at 4. They were fine For about an hour and then I had to work to keep them interested in the game.

Re: Bringing a three-year-old to Burnley game
bring some earphones if you're giving him a screen to keep him occupied.

for a while at the Palace game all I could hear was Peppa Pig from the 4 year old in front of me.

I took Sarge jr to his first game age 5 - Fulham away on NYE when Nolan got his red card. We had seats right at the front of the neutral end. on the morning of the game and as it was chucking it down all day I rang them to ask if we could move.

They swapped us for a couple of returns further back in the same end.

wouldn't need to happen with our iconic roof of course...................

Kid is too young in my view. Better to take the child to somewhere with smaller crowds such a Dagenham or another local non league club near you.

Too young for me. Not from a safety perspective but he will get bored. Be prepared to go home at half time as either:

Cold
Bored
Tired
Hungry
Thirsty
Asleep

Far too young
Wait til he is 36 and then have a rethink

Pretty much me every home game.

Re: Bringing a three-year-old to Burnley game
Far too young to be able to sit there for 90 mins plus half time etc. Will be doing your nut in.

You might be able to get away with it with Ipad/colouring pens and paper/chocolate etc.

I think five is the absolute youngest for home games. Six or seven much better. Away games little kids are more entertained as there is a lot more noise and movement.
